Copic Floral Favorites 2 and Cat Day

To celebrate Cat Day together, here is a themed illustration created using the "Floral Favorites 2" set, consisting of YR21, RV23, RV25, RV29, B63, and B66, with the addition of a blender 0.

Colors from the Copic Floral Favorites 2 set

For the paper, I chose the Copic Paper Selection "Custom Paper." I really like both its pure white color and its thickness.

For the lineart, I used the Multiliner 0.1 and 0.3 in "Cobalt," which blend beautifully with the shades of this set.

The presence of two cool tones complements the remaining warm shades well, allowing for more varied shadows and interesting gradients.

Since there wasn’t a suitable color for the skin tone, I decided to leave it almost entirely white. As a first step, I applied shadows on the skin using a mix of RV23 and B63, both in their pure form and layered together.

I used YR21 to add highlights and create stronger contrast with the other colors.

The hair is mainly colored with B66, darkened in some areas with RV29 to create a deep blue-violet tone.

To add more variety to the hair coloring, I created gradients by blending B66 with B63 and RV23.

For the shirt, I used RV25 as the base and RV29 for the shadows, then layered B63 on top to desaturate the color and give it more visual depth.

For the cat, I mixed B63 and B66 for the dark patches, while the orange patches were created by layering YR21 and RV23.

Shadows on the white fur were applied using a layer of B63, slightly warmed up with RV23.

For the second part of the illustration, I’ve included some videos showing the process. The steps are the same as previously described, with an additional technique: in some areas of the face, I used the tip-to-tip method by touching the blender with RV23 to create a soft pale pink shade.
