8 Copic combinations for the skin

Skin coloring is a challenge for many artists, especially when it comes to representing the diversity of light and dark skin tones.

Fortunately, Copic markers offer a wide range of colors and shades that allow you to create striking and, if you wish, realistic combinations.

We asked Alice to create 9 combinations to color her skin with Copic markers, 4 for light skin and 4 for dark skin. And here are the results.

LIGHT SKIN COLORING WITH COPICS

Here are the 4 color combinations chosen by Alice for fair skin.

Face colored with Copic Colors E93, R00, R0000 and V91
Face colored with Copic Colors E95,YR00, E50 andR20
Face colored with Copic Colors E21, E51, E50 and R20
Face colored with Copic Colors RV34, E95, YR20 and R22

To give color to the cheeks she used color R20 ( which is actually called Blush) and R22 in the last palette. R22 isa light vermilion color inspired by the color of the shell of "shrimps" from which it is named Light Prawn.

DARK SKIN COLORING WITH COPICS

Instead, here is his selection of colors for dark skin.

Face colored with Copic Colors E33, E11, R22 and V15
Face colored with Copic Colors V04,E15, E13 and R22
Face colored with Copic Colors E35, E57, V17e R22
Face colored with Copic Colors E49, E18,E37 and R59

These are just a few of the possible combinations, but with Copic's wide range of skin tones, one can indulge.
