Introduzione al Copic Classic
Share
The Copic Classic marker was the first marker made by .Too Corporation in 1987.

This marker has a square shape and has 2 tips; a Standard Broad and a Standard Fine. The Classic marker is available in 214 colors, has more colors than Copic Ciao (180) and fewer colors than Copic Sketch (358). This marker is popular with both designers and illustrators and is available in sets of 12, 36 and 72.
Let us now look at some features and strengths of this marker.
Several replacement tips
The best-selling Copic marker is the Copic Ciao, and the reason why many people prefer this marker is because it has the Super Brush tip. However, what many people do not know is that there are different tips for the Copic Classic. Such as the Classic Brush tip.

A variety of strokes
With the 2 Standard tips, you can make a wide variety of strokes!
Take the Standard Broad tip, for example; you can use the long, flat side of the tip to make wide, even strokes or you can use the top of the tip to make finer strokes.
The opposite side of the Classic marker has a Standard Fine tip. This tip is perfect for details.

Uniform colors
With the Standard Broad tip it is possible to achieve uniform shades by following the same overlapping technique as with Copic Sketch or Ciao. Copic ink is alcohol-based, the more you overlay the color the darker it becomes.

Rechargeable
The great thing about the Classic marker (and all Copic markers) is that they can be refilled using Copic Ink. The Copic classic can be refilled 5 times using Copic Ink, and if you want to create your own unique color, you can buy a blank marker and fill it with the ink combination you want!

Airbrush system
Another distinctive feature of the Copic Classic is that it works best with the Copic AirBrush System (ABS). Just slide the broad tip of the marker into the Air Grip and you're ready to start using it!

Now that you know more about the Copic Classic marker let's take a look at some drawings made using only Classic! Notice how you can create beautiful sketches using the marker's natural tendencies showing stripes and how you can make exquisite renderings by overlaying and adding mixed media on top, such as colored pencils or graphite.

Above is Sergei Tihomirov's interior design sketch. Take advantage of the striped and expressive look of markers to create a beautiful interior scene!
