Refilling Copic markers with Copic Ink

How to refill a Copic marker pen

Copic: designed to last a lifetime.

When listing the best features of the Copic, it never misses the fact that Copic markers are all refillable. Buying a Copic marker does not translate into buy, use and then throw away-the Copic is a tool and an investment.
Refilling markers is even easier with Copic Ink. It only takes 6 simple steps.

1

Remove the cap at both ends of the marker you want to refill.

Opening both ends during filling ensures that the marker does not create pressure inside and ink does not leak out later.

2

Using the Copic Tweezer, remove the chisel tip of the marker.

It is recommended to remove the broad tip because it is the stiffest nib and will not be damaged by the grip of the tweezers.

3

Insert Copic Ink of the desired color directly inside the body of the marker.

To refill a marker pen, it is recommended to use:

1.4 ml for Copic Ciao

1.8 ml for the Copic Sketch

2.5 ml for Copic Classic

3.5 nl for Copic Wide

4

Remove the Copic Ink from the body of the marker.

We recommend that you always have a paper towel underneath as some drops of ink may spill out.

5

Reinsert the tip with the help of the tweezers.

If done correctly, the tip will not be able to move and will fit perfectly inside the marker once it is back in its correct position.

6

Close the marker and lay it on a table. We recommend laying the marker on a table once it is filled so that the ink can spread evenly on both sides of the marker.

Refilling markers instead of buying new ones helps the environment and makes the tools you have purchased last longer.

Copic markers are an investment, and you can protect it by refilling with Copic Ink!
